Pocan Statement on Supreme Court Decision in Harris v. Quinn

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan (WI-02) today issued the following statement in response to the Supreme Court of the United States ruling in Harris v. Quinn:

"The Supreme Court's decision undermines the rights of home health care workers in Illinois and workers across the country. The decision overlooks the changing reality of the workplace, where partial employment and contingent work arrangements are becoming more common. The court weakened the ability of labor unions to provide critical support to maintain a stable and well-trained workforce. While the Supreme Court's decision is a setback, the fight for fair wages and safe working conditions for America's workers continues forward."
