Pocan Statement on Senate Parliamentarian Ruling on Immigration Provisions in Build Back Better

MADISON, WI – U.S. Representative Mark Pocan (WI-02) released the following statement after the Senate Parliamentarian ruled that specific immigration policies could not be considered in the Build Back Better Act.

"I continue to be disappointed that the Senate relies on an unelected bureaucrat to let them know what they can and cannot vote on. The Senate needs to end the filibuster so our country can make progress and move forward by creating a path to citizenship for millions and shoring up the right to vote for so many Americans."
