Rock County Affordable Care Act Resources
I am pleased to provide you with information to help you connect with local healthcare resources and agencies that can provide in-person enrollment assistance for the Affordable Care Act (ACA). While we do not have the expertise to enroll people in the healthcare marketplace, we are happy to refer you to resources that will help you enroll and/or answer your questions.

If you purchase your health insurance through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace, you may be eligible for a tax credit to help you pay your insurance premiums. Visit https://www.healthtaxcredittool.org/ to find out if you qualify.
You may also visit healthcare.gov or call the toll-free ACA consumer helpline at 1-800-318 2596 to get your marketplace questions answered. Or you can call United Way’s 211 Line (or 608-246-HELP) to find out about enrollment assistance in your area.
The 211 Line is also the best place to call for anyone who may be impacted by the Medicaid/BadgerCare changes. Due to Governor Walker’s changes to BadgerCare and his rejection of the federal government’s Medicaid expansion, some people will be enrolling in BadgerCare for the first time and others will be coming off of BadgerCare and getting their health insurance through the ACA exchanges. The 211 Line can help you sort out the new regulations and direct you to any tax credits or premium assistance for which you are eligible.
