A few weeks ago, I was honored to participate in the third annual NOH8 On The Hill campaign, joining nearly 70 new members of Congress, including two Senators, in support of marriage equality and equal rights for all Americans.

In anticipation of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decisions in the landmark marriage equality cases expected this week, I’m proud to share my official photo from the event:

The portraits were released by NOH8 Campaign co-founders Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley.

The NOH8 On The Hill portraits feature members of Congress wearing duct tape over their mouths to symbolize the voices of equality being silenced by laws like DOMA and California’s Proposition 8. This year’s NOH8 On The Hill brings the total number of Congressional participants in the campaign over three years to 100 members.

As a Congressman and a proudly married gay man, I stand with the NOH8 campaign and will continue to fight for a country that adheres to our fundamental tenets of justice and equality for all.
